Over the last few months, a lot of things have happened, and as I don’t always take the time to read lots of details elsewhere, I thought everyone may enjoy the abbreviated picture book version of life here on the farm.
So, here goes:

Farmhouse Updates
Work is progressing here on the farmhouse. My wonderful hubby and son (as pictured here), helped put new walls and woodwork in the kitchen. We also refinished countertops, painted walls, and updated cabinets. All that’s left now is the flooring. But, we’re excited to see the improvements!

Finished Product
I absolutely LOVE these walls!!!

Wedding Plans
Our daughter got engaged, and we couldn’t be more excited for her and her fiancé. They will be getting married in a couple of months, and we’re in high gear planning for a wedding!

Stella the Kitten
While we are not typically indoor pet people, little Stella literally stole our hearts at the shelter. And, we can’t imagine how a little fur-ball can bring so much joy…..BUT SHE DOES!!!!
*Also, she plays fetch…which I’m pretty sure isn’t normal….but HILARIOUS!

The Real Traveling Chicks
A good friend and I, who is also a chicken aficionado, started The Real Traveling Chicks, a weekly social media video show. We’re not sure if it’s silly, informative, or hopefully a little of both, but we’re having fun and hoping it brings positivity to others along the way.
3 New Goat Babies
Comet and Nick were twin bucklings (the two with brown markings) who were born on Christmas Eve right before it snowed 4 inches. And Noel (the black goat) was born December 26th. We couldn’t not have asked for better Christmas presents this year!
So, I believe that encapsulates the “big stuff” happening here on the farm, but as we all know, the best stuff happens in the day-to-day.
And, those day-to-day things involve slowing down, recognizing the important over the immediate, spending time with family, not taking minutes with friends for granted, and celebrating all the beautiful things God has given us even in the midst of challenges. And, to be honest, we are enjoying every minute of it!
So, as we begin this new year in a fresh way, let us cling to what is important, and let the rest fall away!
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

And, from all of us here at Serenity Valley, we’re sending you……
