Join The Fight

It’s true of most of us. We let fear fill our minds.

We think: 

What if we fail?

What if people make fun of us?

What if we don’t do it perfectly?

Well, the reality is, MOST…..if not all of these things will happen.

We are gonna fail. We’re gonna look like an idiot in the eyes of at least one person (probably WAY more than that). And, we’re definitely not gonna accomplish anything with perfection.

But, if we at least jump in and fight the good fight of whatever it is that God has called us to do, we can trust that He’s way bigger than our feeble efforts. There’s no need to worry and yet every reason to JOIN THE FIGHT with reckless abandon because……

After all,  Phillipians 1:6 says, “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” 

So go ahead! JUMP IN! In fact, DIVE….head first…. into the work He has called you to do. Make corrections when he reveals them, but trust that He’s got the beginning, middle, and end in mind. You’re covered.

And in the beautiful words of Theodore Roosevelt:

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
